Aussie rapper Huskii filmed snorting lines of cocaine at Melbourne Antihero concert

An Australian rapper put on a wild show at a Melbourne concert, cutting lines of white powder before inhaling it in front of his devoted fans.

Ben Hayden, better known by his stage name Huskii, has been touring Australia to promote his Antihero album.

The seven-song album shot to the number one spot on the ARIA charts in February after its release.

Huskii’s hundreds of devoted fans were met by a heavy police presence in Melbourne on Wednesday night when they arrived at Max Watt’s House of Music live music venue.

Concertgoers reported witnessing at least one stabbing, numerous fistfights, and people tagging and painting graffiti on nearby buildings.

Victoria Police confirmed that they made three arrests outside the event, including one man and two women.

Huskii, who spent multiple stints in jail, repeatedly took to Instagram to document himself smoking marijuana, partying and having drinks with friends backstage.

‘Hey! Someone was stabbed in the front, it sucks to be you, so it’s probably going to take a while for people to get in, but we’re waiting,” she said in an Instagram video.

But it was when Huskii took the stage that their party seemed to escalate, with the rapper posting videos of himself cutting a series of lines of white powder before inhaling them from the mirror mosaic.

The move was popular with his fans, who cheered the rapper after he dropped the mosaic.

Huskii later went surfing, with his Melbourne fans swarming him, desperate to touch the rapper.

A Victoria Police spokesman said they had not yet received any reports of any incidents at the event.

However, there were arrests outside.

“There was an incident outside the event where police attended an address on Swanston St, Melbourne at around 9pm following reports of an agitated man,” the spokesperson said.

“Officers were told the man was denied entry to a licensed premises and became aggressive. Officers approached the man outside the premises and noticed a knife in his pants. A fight ensued and the man was arrested.

“Two women who hindered police during the arrest were arrested for assaulting police and being drunk and disorderly.”

Huskii, born in the city of Wollongong, New South Wales, has repeatedly spoken about his difficult upbringing and how he used his music as an escape route.

In an interview with Rolling Stone Australia in February, Huskii said he wondered if his tour would be cancelled.

‘You just have to take it day by day, I guess. Yes, it is what it is. Anything can happen. You know, anything could happen. My entire tour could be canceled tomorrow, so there’s no way of knowing,” she said.

Huskii told the magazine that he was left in jail for longer than he should have been due to Covid.

‘I went to jail twice since (2020). I think they were just screwing around because of Covid, and the courts weren’t working, trials were canceled and I was sitting there trying to get bail for six months,’ he said.

The rapper also admitted that he hated acting.

‘I hate it, man. I hate it until about a minute or a second. But the day before, the days before, I get into my head,” he said.

‘Sitting in random hotel rooms on the other side of the country, stressed out. It’s been a while too. To be honest, I’ve also been high most of the time. So now that’s not an option, I’m screwed. I just have to be out there… I’m going to be there.’

Huskii has been contacted for comment.
