But I’m crying for several reasons. And one of them is because I am super grateful. Like this whole experience is so surreal.”

Alessia added that she was also excited ahead of her first TikTok Awards in 2021, admitting that she was feeling a sense of imposter syndrome.
‘I remember my first TikTok awards. I was crying for a completely different reason, because I felt like why had I been invited to this? Will everyone look at me funny? she said.
“It’s a very overwhelming time for your first awards, like you’re new to the creator world or whatever.”
Three years later, Alessia said her and Taz’s nomination made her reflect on how far the couple has come as creators.
“It’s great because I feel so confident and proud of myself, of how far Taz and I have come,” she said.
Alessia added that she had been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from friends and family ahead of the glittering event.
“But I think what makes it more emotional is that in doing this, Taz and I have made a lot of good friends and they’ve all been texting us today, or in the coming weeks, saying, ‘I’ve been voting.'” For you, I’m really rooting for you,” he said.
“I don’t know, I feel really loved and supported by the people around us and I’m so grateful for that.”

talking to Lost perspectives In June, Alessia and Taz reflected on their journey on social media and revealed that Covid was the catalyst for the creation of their content.
“Together we have been in the social media space for almost four years,” they stated.
‘Our journey began in 2020 during the COVID lockdowns when we started our joint TikTok account before even making our relationship official.
“Since Taz’s personal social media accounts focused on his DJ talents and Alessia’s focused on her makeup journey, we felt that ‘couples’ content was not appropriate for either of our pages and therefore Therefore, we created a separate account.
The couple added: “There wasn’t much to do being stuck at home, so we spent time making TikToks together using trendy sounds and audio and before we knew it, we had reached 50,000 followers in the first six months.”
