A young Australian who was seriously injured while on holiday with his family in Bali has been flown home.
Dylan Brown, 21, suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing a motorcycle last Tuesday and underwent emergency surgery in Denpasar to save his life.
Brown landed safely in Perth shortly before 8pm on Sunday.
While still in Bali and desperate to bring Brown home, her family launched a GoFundMe which has since raised more than $135,000, including $40,000 from an anonymous donor.
The 21-year-old remains in a stable condition in Royal Perth Hospital.
“We have found strength in each other and have been overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers and new friends, who have helped us in countless ways,” said their father, Steven Brown.
‘Our loved ones at home have been there 24/7 to provide support and logistics. Your generosity has melted our hearts and we will never forget it.
Mr Brown’s emergency surgery involved removing a large blood clot that was putting pressure on his brain and was estimated to cost more than $40,000.

“Dylan could come home after this surgery and that would be a huge positive step for him and his family,” Brown wrote at the time.
‘But bringing it home will cost between $50,000 and $100,000, so your donations to help with this mean a lot to us.
“We desperately want our beautiful, kind son and brother to be home and alive.”
In an update shortly before Dylan’s evacuation flight on Sunday, Steven Brown said of his son: “His progress is encouraging, although he remains in critical condition.”

Dylan is among several Australians killed or seriously injured in crashes in Bali in recent months.
Fellow Perth local Shane Ramsey died from critical injuries he suffered in a scooter accident in Seminyak in August.
Sharyn Maree Lewis, a Queensland woman, was staying at a resort on Nusa Lembongan, a small island southeast of Bali, with her partner to celebrate her 59th birthday last month when the disaster struck.
She was riding a rented motorcycle across the Yellow Bridge, which connects to Nusa Ceningan, another small island nearby, when the motorcycle’s brake suddenly stopped working and Ms Lewis fell 10 meters from the bridge.
