A grieving aunt has warned Australians not to take their lives for granted after her “amazing” niece died in a horror car crash.
Sharna Woodland, 35, died when the car she was traveling in rolled down an embankment on Bairnsdale-Dargo Road in Cobbannah in southeast Victoria about 10.30pm.
The driver, a 26-year-old Maffra woman, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ms Woodland’s aunt, Linda Pendergast, told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday that her niece was “the nicest girl you’ll ever meet”.
‘She was the most amazing girl. “She was beautiful and an incredible mother and wife to her husband,” said Mrs. Pendergast.
‘She was very kind and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was the kindest girl you’d ever meet. She will always be remembered. “Our family is very close and she was so special.”
Ms Pendergast shared a timely message with Australian drivers in the wake of the tragedy.
‘Don’t take your life for granted. “You never know what’s around the corner,” he said.

Mrs. Woodland’s two children, Isla, 6, and Nate, 2, are understandably confused about what happened to their mother.
‘They’re just little kids. She only lived for her young children, so it’s really difficult. “Their dad is amazing with them and we will all reach out and help,” he said.
Mrs Woodland was a Sale local who grew up in Bairnsdale and was well known in her local communities.
A GoFundMe page set up to support his family has raised nearly 70 percent of its $22,000 goal as of Friday morning.
“I can’t believe it (the support), it’s been overwhelming,” Pendergast said.
‘The support from the community has been incredible and many people we don’t even know have donated.
‘Their mother will not have to go back to work immediately because of this and can help look after the children. It’s going to be a great help.
More than 1,300 people died on Australian roads in 2024, including 284 in Victoria.
