Oxman made headlines in 2018 after she was thought to be dating Brad Pitt, but she insisted they were not dating and clarified that she was actually in a relationship with Ackman.

Coppola’s new film, Megalopolis, will be released on September 27.

The film has faced several controversies.

Earlier this May, Coppola was accused of attempting to “kiss topless and scantily clad female extras” on the set of Megalopolis in an article in The Guardian.

The filmmaker was allegedly seen “attempting to kiss young female extras” in two short videos published days later by Variety.

The Godfather director addressed the numerous allegations in a wide-ranging interview with Rolling Stone, where he claimed that the original report The Guardian was, ‘totally false.’

“If you read that article, you’ll realize that whoever the sources were – and I honestly don’t know who the sources were – they are the same people who provided quotes for that Hollywood Reporter article that said all these people were fired or quit, and there was a mass exodus, all of that,” Coppola said.

“And the truth is that they were looking for some kind of dirty information. The girls I kissed on the cheek, in connection with the New Year’s scene, were young girls I knew,” he insisted.

The director added: “It’s all so ridiculous. Look at the timing of the article. It’s just before the film premieres at Cannes. They’re just trying to damage the image.”

Coppola eventually sued Variety, the publication that published the videos apparently capturing him kissing women on set, for defamation.

Another controversy surrounding the film was based on critics’ quotes, leading Lionsgate to pull the film’s trailer. The quotes, which included those from deceased critics such as Pauline Kael and Roger Ebert, did not appear in previous reviews of the director’s earlier films.
