Aubrey O’Day finally feels “validated” after years of speaking out against her former mentor Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The Danity Kane singer, 40, briefly shared her feelings on social media Monday after her former boss Diddy was indicted by a grand jury on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution.

Homeland Security officials later arrested the rap mogul at the Park Hyatt hotel in midtown Manhattan.

Diddy has so far denied the allegations and offered a $50 million bond in hopes of securing bail, but a judge on Tuesday denied his bail request, saying he would wait in jail until his trial begins.

In a post on X, Aubrey described the legal action as a “victory for women” around the world.

“The goal of justice is to provide closure and allow us the space to create a new chapter. Women never get this,” O’Day wrote in X on Monday.

“I feel validated. Today is a victory for women all over the world, not just for me,” she continued, adding: “Things are finally changing.”

Early Tuesday, she cited a post by journalist Yashar Ali in which he noted that O’Day “has been trying to draw attention to Diddy’s abusive nature and warn people that he’s dangerous. For years.”

She added that O’Day’s “courage” led to her being allegedly “intimidated, terrorized and threatened.”

O’Day claimed Diddy “did worse things to me than that,” though she did not elaborate further on her statement before thanking the journalist for sharing her story.

Later Tuesday morning, O’Day sounded irritated as she responded to a story urging her to “hurry up and talk.”

She claimed she had focused on channels that were more likely to lead to action against the rapper, rather than simply posting on social media.

“I chose to speak to people who could promote justice the way I needed to see it. I’ve been speaking out. I never underestimated that,” she wrote.

Later Tuesday morning, O’Day sounded irritated as she responded to a story urging her to “hurry up and speak out.” She claimed she had been doing so, but behind the scenes.

O’Day’s campaign to expose Diddy’s alleged crimes and misdeeds has been ongoing since she was fired from Danity Kane, the girl group she formed while filming her reality series Making The Band 3.

Earlier this year, O’Day claimed the rap mogul had attempted to buy her silence by giving her back her music publishing rights, which were owned by Bad Boy Records, as he had done with other artists connected to the label.

She saw the offer as an attempt to prevent her from speaking out against him.

In June, the singer boasted that she immediately supported Diddy’s ex, singer Cassie, after she accused him of sexual abuse.

“I was the first one to come out and defend her,” O’Day said. We weekly‘It was a little too quiet for my taste.’

In November 2023, Cassie sued the rapper, alleging that he controlled and abused her for over a decade. Diddy vehemently denied all allegations before settling the suit within a day.

At the time, O’Day took to social media to share a message of solidarity with Cassie.

“I uploaded it within five minutes of watching it because Cassie is a victim and she has incredible bravery,” O’Day told the outlet.

The artist’s November Instagram post read: “I’ve been trying to tell everyone for years. We’re praying for this queen @cassie.”

O’Day claimed Diddy fired her because “she wasn’t willing to do what was expected of her, not in terms of talent, but in other areas.”

She told Us Weekly: ‘There are so many stories going back and forth, not everything seems the same.

“Not every situation this man has found himself in is the same, but hers really broke the wall. We don’t know why. This one did.”

She went on to express her gratitude towards Cassie for sharing her story publicly.

“There needs to be change in the music industry and there needs to be a safe space for artists to evolve,” O’Day added. “There needs to be a place where there’s never anyone who can force an obligation on you or control your career in any way.”

In May, months after Cassie and Diddy settled their legal dispute, a 2016 video surfaced that allegedly showed the rapper physically assaulting her.

Diddy issued an apology on social media, seemingly expressing remorse for his “inexcusable” behavior, though he made no direct reference to Cassie.

“I had it ready within the first five minutes of watching it because Cassie is a victim and she has an incredible amount of bravery,” O’Day told Us Weekly.

At the time, O’Day took to social media to point out that Diddy “didn’t apologize to Cassie,” but instead “apologized to the world for seeing what he did.”

“He says he is ‘disgusted with himself now, and he was disgusted with himself then,'” O’Day wrote.

‘But apparently he wasn’t disgusted enough with himself to not cross out this statement, call (Cassie) a liar and deny it all… Leave God and mercy out of this, they’re not present here, and you know it.’

During her interview with Us Weekly, O’Day added of the apology video: “Anybody who makes those kinds of statements, or is on air or even broadcasting them on that side, looks stupid. Stop it.”

“Quote me what I said. ‘You look stupid. Stop it. There are real victims. Everyone knows that.'” Now they’ve been shown a video.

“If you think this is the only time you’re going to see that, it’s because you’re stuck in your own world of ignorance.”

O’Day also claimed in September 2023 that Diddy recently asked her and her former Danity Kane bandmates to sign non-disclosure agreements.

“And me being a girl with a girl, I told everyone in my group, ‘Don’t take this deal at all,'” O’Day said.

Diddy, who also uses the stage name Puff Daddy, has an estimated net worth of $1 billion after being one of the leading figures in hip-hop marketing in the 1990s.

He became one of the most prominent music producers of his generation, working with names like Notorious BIG and Mary J. Blige.

Diddy founded Bad Boy, his record label, with which Cassie signed in 2006.

Cassie has since married Alex Fine and has two children with him.
