Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended a reception and dinner with the President of Fiji, William Katunever.

Mother-of-four Mary appeared at the event as part of her trip around the Southern Hemisphere, which will also see her visit her home country, Australia.

The 51-year-old wore a stunning white maxi dress, which featured a bias-cut skirt and a pale floral print for Suva’s engagement.

Marie, who is married to Crown Prince Frederick, wore her thick brunette locks in a sleek, low ponytail for the event.

Finishing off her elegant ensemble, Marie topped her dress with a delicious cream cardigan.

The reception was attended by Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jorgensen (left) and Princess Mary (right).

Then she made a statement with her bold jewelry, wearing large gold earrings, a chunky gold choker with stones, and gold bracelets on each wrist.

The smiling princess opted for a classic make-up look for the evening, matching dewy skin with rosy lips, and smudged brown eyeliner.

During the event, the Queen was photographed with Dan Jorgensen, Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy.

She’s also photographed with Fijian President William Katunever, with the politician and royal smiling as they chat to each other.

Crown Princess Mary’s trip, which will run from April 23-28, is designed to focus attention on the consequences of climate change in the Pacific region.

Between today and Thursday, her appointments to Fiji will be carried out in part with UNFPA Executive Director Natalie Kanem.

According to a Danish royal statement: “The Crown Princess will focus, among other things, on how destruction and evacuations in the wake of climate change lead to increased risks of sexual and gender-based violence.”

She added that she will discover more about “how the healthcare system works to protect women and girls in vulnerable situations”.

Before visiting Fiji, the Queen spent two days in Vanuatu, where her visit occurred shortly after the island nation was hit by two hurricanes and two earthquakes.

As part of her visit, Marie made field visits to crisis response areas, where she met people involved in rebuilding the area after natural disasters.

On April 28, the Queen will visit Sydney, Australia – her home country.

This event will be truly special, as it is the first time Princess Mary has traveled to Australia in an official capacity in a decade.

The Hobart-born Princess Royal, 51, will fly home on April 28 to meet Danish representatives taking part in Australia’s “green transition” while visiting several Danish-led projects related to sustainability.
