BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst made a very serious mistake when she appeared live on Tuesday’s show.

The host, 43, accidentally dropped the c-bomb while hosting a segment about money and business.

He appeared on the morning show with main hosts Jon Kay and Sally Nugent, who presented his segment.

Jon said: ‘We’re talking about the budget next week and this morning there’s a warning that the chancellor shouldn’t cut taxes.

‘The warning comes from a leading think tank, Nina can tell us more – good morning Nina!’

The station then made a mistake in its first line when it said: ‘Thanks Jon, yes when taxes c****…’

Nina quickly corrected herself as she said the word “short” more clearly after the rude word as she continued her sentence.

In full, he said: “When tax cuts are announced, the public listens, which is possibly why the Chancellor hinted at it before the budget.”

Reacting, one viewer wrote: “Speak your mind @NinaWarhurst.”

Another wrote: ‘8.11 on BBC Breakfast, @NinaWarhurst was talking about ‘tax cuts’ – except I think she used slightly stronger language!’

Another viewer responded: ‘I almost fell off my chair when she said it!’

Someone else wrote: ‘Oopsy. A slip, it made me laugh.’

A fifth wrote: “Brilliantly rescued!” as they reacted to the hilarious moment.

It comes after Nina returned to the show from maternity leave last month and sweetly declared her baby is the “best in the world”.

The television news anchor welcomed a baby girl named Nance with her husband Ted in July, the couple’s third child.

And she returned to television screens in January after her maternity leave to present an investigation into the price of formula.

After being enthusiastically introduced by news presenter Jon, Nina gushed about how much she had missed “the gang” on BBC Breakfast.

But she quickly added that she also missed her baby and apologized to other parents because she claimed her baby is “the best.”

Host Sarah Campbell began the morning segment by saying that baby formula prices appear to be going down, but only slightly.

“And we have the perfect person to investigate this for us,” Jon added. ‘Because I’m delighted to say that, back from maternity leave, I’m Nina. Nice to see you.’

Nina replied: ‘Thank you very much, it’s a pleasure to be back.’ I’ve missed the gang.

“I miss the baby so much this morning, but yeah, it’s wonderful to be back.” Is the best job in the world. And the best baby in the world.

She continued, “I know everyone thinks your baby is the best, but sorry guys, mine actually is.”

Nina moved on to formula news saying she’s been keeping an eye on prices because of her own journey of “cutting back on breastfeeding and increasing formula” while Nance starts daycare.

Fans of the presenter were delighted to see her return to the BBC Breakfast team.

“The world may be dreary, but it’s brighter because at least there’s #BBCBreakfast again,” one person wrote.

While another said: ‘Nina Nina Nina. How wonderful to see you back at work. I missed you when you were on leave from Mat.
