Atletico Madrid dealt injury blow as Alvaro Morata suffers knee injury in training and is set to miss Eibar clash
Atletico Madrid have been hit with a setback after in-form striker Alvaro Morata was ruled out of the upcoming match with Eibar due to a knee injury.
The former Chelsea man sustained the knock during a training session, and the club have since confirmed the ‘moderate’ injury to his right knee will keep him on the sidelines.
Atleti informed fans of the news on Thursday morning, but have given no forecast as to when the 26-year-old will be returning to match action.

‘The rojiblanco striker suffered a twist of his knee during Wednesday afternoon training and has undergone radiological tests confirming that he has a moderate-grade sprain,’ read an Atleti club statement.
Fortunately for the La Liga giants, Diego Costa is poised to return following a lengthy red card suspension.
Costa was dismissed against Barcelona in April, and was given a sizable eight-match ban after furiously confronting the referee and having to be removed by team-mates.
