A fast food customer and mom-to-be went with a different kind of ‘Happy Meal’ after giving birth to her baby in a McDonald’s bathroom.
Alandria Worthy and her fiance stopped by the restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday morning so she could use the bathroom as her labor raged.
Within moments, the woman said that labor with her ‘little nugget’ progressed.
“I went to the bathroom and my water broke right away,” Worthy said. WXIA.
The new moms and dads welcomed their baby into the world inside a McDonald’s bathroom on Wednesday.
Before additional help arrived, three McDonald’s workers assisted in the delivery inside the bathroom.

After the woman started screaming, the restaurant’s manager, Tunisia Woodward, went into the bathroom to see what was going on.
“I opened this door, I didn’t see anybody, but I did see feet (under the door),” Woodward said. ‘I opened up, and she was on this toilet laying down, screaming. So I knew to tell my crew, “We’re going to have a baby today.”
The manager, joined by two other employees and Worthy’s fiancé, Deandre Phillips, immediately sprang into action.
“I was trying to calm her down because she was frantic,” Phillips said.
‘I was like, ‘Just breathe. I put her on the ground and took off my clothes. The ladies from McDonald’s were up front, holding her hand, my feet propped up on my knees. We told him to push three times. She was a fighter.
The employees knew what to do too, all of them being parents.
Worthy and her fiancé stopped at the restaurant to use the bathroom while she was in labor.
While inside, Worthy said his water broke instantly and the process from then on moved quickly.
After the mother-to-be yelled from inside a booth, the restaurant manager walked in to see what was going on.

“We’re all mothers and that’s why we put our heads together,” Woodward said.
‘All we needed daddy to do was catch the baby. And he did it,’ the manager said of her and her employees, Sha’querria Kaigler and Keisha Blue-Murray.
“Yeah, he jumped on my hand,” Phillips said.
At one point in the job, Worthy, using the employees for props, bit Woodward’s hand.
In an interview, the manager joked that it was okay ‘she didn’t break my skin’.
Miraculously, less than 15 minutes later, the couple’s ‘little nugget’ made her entrance into the world.
After less than 15 minutes, the ‘nugget’ of the couple entered the world.
While her given name may not be “nugget,” it’s a nickname that’s sure to stick around for a while.
According to the group, it took just a few pushes for the baby, Nandi Ariyah Moremi Phillips, to arrive.
“Oh my gosh, it’s still crazy that it happened,” Worthy told the Atlanta TV station.
The new parents said they believe it was “divine intervention” that brought them to McDonald’s that day and the group of women who were ready to help.
That ‘divine intervention’ also led to his nickname for Nandi, which is sure to stick.
Baby Nandi Ariyah Moremi Phillips was born in a McDonald’s bathroom on Wednesday in Atlanta, Georgia.
‘I said, let’s call her Little Nugget. That’s her nickname: McDonald’s Little Nugget,’ her mother said.
“She’s definitely a nugget,” Phillips agreed. My parents also loved the name. We were like, okay, it looks good on him. My little nugget.
While the incident drew media attention both in Georgia and across the country, franchise owner Steve Akinboro was also informed.
As a reward for the hard work of the three women, Akinboro gave each of the employees a $250 gift card.
Woodward told WXIA that he plans to spend some of the money on the new baby.
