Mario Pasalic of Atalanta got the winner within seconds after he got off the bench when they took a huge step towards the Champions League qualification by beating Saturday AS Roma 2-1 in the Serie A.
Edin Dzeko fired the fifth placed visitors at the end of the first half, but Atalanta, who is fourth, found a well-earned equalizer through Jose Palomino in the beginning of the second.
Pasalic, however, stole the show in the 59th minute by getting a sensational attack in the top corner 19 seconds after he came up as a substitute.

The win makes Gian Piero Gasperini take over control of the race for a top-four finish because Atalanta has 45 points, six ahead of Roma with a better head-to-head record than the main club.
Earlier, 18th Genoa placed their first away win of the season with a 3-0 win in Bologna that moved them within a point of the safety zone when the hosts ended up with nine men after the expulsions of Jerdy Schouten and Stefano Denswil.
Lecce also increased their survival hopes by taking 16th place above Sampdoria with their third consecutive league victory and beating SPAL 2-1 at the Stadio Via del Mare on the debut of Luigi Di Biagio as coach of the bottom of the Serie A.
