At least one dead and several injured in shooting in Orlando

At least one person has reportedly been killed and several others injured following a shooting in Orlando last night.

Police responded to reports of shots fired around 11 p.m. Wednesday in the area of ​​Ironwedge Drive and South Lake Orlando Parkway.

Upon arrival, officers discovered several victims, one of them dead. Authorities have not confirmed the total number of victims or the extent of their injuries.

No information on possible suspects is provided at this time.

The Orlando Police Department said its investigation is ongoing and officers are working to identify all victims.

Images of WFTV showed a heavy police presence near Ironwedge Drive and South Lake Orlando Parkway Wednesday night.

The shooting took place in a residential area near what appears to be a condominium complex.

Several police cruisers were parked near the intersection and a cordon was in place while authorities conducted their investigation.

Officials from the Orlando Crime Scene Investigation unit were also called to the scene.

A police spokesman said ABC News: ‘We are working to identify all victims and their conditions. “This is an ongoing investigation, once we have more information we will make it available.”
