Asus unveils leather and gold laptop to celebrate its 30-year anniversary

Asus celebrates its 30-year anniversary with a special edition laptop. The Asus ZenBook Edition 30 includes a white leather lid and an 18-carat rose gold logo that is very similar to the Starfleet insignia of Star Trek. Asus is not yet full of leather like HP & # 39; s leather Folio tablet / laptop hybrid, but that means that this latest ZenBook is a traditional laptop.

"Each piece of genuine leather is hand-selected," Asus Chairman Jonney Shih explains. "Every panel cover is maticulously sewn by a master tailor." Asus also supplies special accessories for this leather laptop, including a pearly white mouse and leather case. However, this is not the first time that Asus has experimented with leather on laptops. In 2006, Asus launched its leather-covered S6F laptop with the lid and palm rests both leather-covered for the first time.

The ZenBook Edition 30 includes the 8th Gen Core i7 processor from Intel, Nvidia & # 39; s GeForce MX250 individual graphics, up to 16 GB RAM and PCIe SSD storage. This 13-inch laptop also has Asus & # 39; ring-free screen with a screen ratio of 95 percent. Asus also includes the ScreenPad, which places a screen in the trackpad.

Asus has not yet announced prices or a release date, but given that the company offers this as a premium and it is a limited edition. this is not going to be a cheap 13-inch laptop.
