- Aston Villa are in search of a deal for Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio
- Asensio will soon become a free agent and has been offered a contract by Villa
- However, the Spaniard has also attracted interest from PSG and AC Milan
Aston Villa are waiting to hear from Marco Asensio if the Real Madrid winger is interested in joining them in the summer transfer window.
The Spaniard will soon become a free agent after rejecting a contract offer from Madrid amid dissatisfaction with his playing time this season.
Asensio has options from across Europe, however, Villa are keen to try and land the three-time Champions League winner in what would be a statement signing for the club.
First-team manager Unai Emery is keen to add star quality to his attack in the off-season after finishing a promising seventh in the Premier League table in his first season in charge.
Asensio could turn his sights to Premier League riches but is expected to agree to swap the Champions League for the Europa Conference League next season.

Asensio also has offers from French giants Paris St Germain and Italian side AC Milan, but is considering all available options as he waits to decide his future.
The 27-year-old is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes who also manages the careers of Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Diogo Jota.
Mendes’ relationship with Premier League clubs could bolster Villa’s approach for the Spaniard who has dropped the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 27-year-old has apparently been angered by his lack of playing time at Real Madrid this season where he has managed just 15 out of 36 La Liga appearances.
His minutes were reduced by the continued rise of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde who were favored in Asensio’s wide or playmaker roles by Carlo Ancelotti.
