Aston Villa is interested in a possible lease for Chelsea’s Ross Barkley or teammate Ruben Loftus Cheek, who want to strengthen their midfield.

They can only lend one due to Premier League rules.

West Ham was also interested, as was Antonio Rudiger, but they are wary of being involved in negotiating a deal for Declan Rice.
David Moyes doesn’t feel like selling rice.
Barkley played 90 minutes of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup victory over Barnsley on Wednesday evening, scoring his side’s third goal.
Loftus-Cheek, meanwhile, has been left out after Frank Lampard was left disappointed by his performance in their win over Brighton earlier this month.

The England midfielder was criticized by Gary Neville after that game with the former Manchester United man who said he could have no complaints if Chelsea decided to fire him.
“I thought, Loftus-Cheek, he got his chance,” Neville said Sky Sports after the game in Brighton.
‘I thought he was really disappointing. I don’t think Loftus-Cheek can complain. He’s got games.
‘I don’t think he ever took his chance. There comes a point when they start making money and get him £ 25 million. ‘
