A former football star has spoken out about the loss of his daughter in the Bondi Junction stabbing massacre.
Ashlee Good was one of six people killed in the rampage at Westfield Bondi Junction in April last year.
His father, Kerry Good, is a former North Melbourne AFL player and board member who also owns racehorses.
Good spoke about the tragedy in an interview on Saturday, after his horses Thedoctoroflove and Taramansour won at Flemington Racecourse.
‘Last year was very hard, I just couldn’t wait for the year to end. “I couldn’t wait to get rid of it,” Mr Good said. racenet.
‘I actually wore the same suit I wore to my daughter’s funeral today and it might have helped.
“It’s a very special day.”
The interview marked the first time Good spoke publicly about her daughter’s death.

Ashlee, 38, and her nine-month-old daughter Harriet were the first people randomly attacked by the Joel Cauchi knife.
Ashlee died in the attack, but managed to deliver Harriet to nearby strangers, begging them to “please help”; an act that saved the baby’s life.
The girl, Harriet, suffered stab wounds and was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital by paramedics in a critical condition and was eventually able to return home.
In the wake of the tragedy, a GoFundMe was started for baby Harriet and her father, Dan Flanagan, raising nearly $850,000.
Flanagan posted on the fundraising page in August, thanking thousands of donors, as well as medical staff, friends and family for their support following his “unimaginable loss.”
“Please know that you have given us comfort and strength during this difficult time, and that every message and donation has been read and received,” he wrote.
‘To say they have been deeply appreciated would be an understatement.
‘Nothing will ever ease the pain of losing Ash, but reading your messages and seeing the impact Ash has had on so many people has brought me so much comfort.

Six people were killed and a dozen others were injured before a police officer shot and killed Cauchi, 40.
“The day our family of three became a family of two will never make sense to me, but countless people, including each and every one of you who wrote messages and donated through this page, have shown me that, if Well unfortunately tragic things happen, There is more good in this world than evil.

Cheng Yixuan, 27, Pikria Darchia, 55, Dawn Singleton, 25, Faraz Ahmed Tahir, 30, and Jade Young, 47, were also killed in the attack.
A dozen more people were injured before Cauchi, 40, was shot dead by a police officer.
Kerry Good played 74 games for North Melbourne between 1977 and 1983 and earned a place in Kangaroos folklore by kicking a goal after the final siren to win the 1980 premiership on the night.
