A theatrical cockatoo joined people all over the world in a hilarious rendition of High School Musical’s. We are all put together during the corona virus lock.

Asher, a Ducorps cockatoo from Coffinswell, South Devon, captured the hearts of thousands of viewers on Facebook with his song and dance of the Disney anthem, which has become a call to global pandemic.

NHS employees, key workers and famous faces have created their own version of the song from the 2006 film.

The white-feathered cockatoo backs up its gear, dices with its head to the beat and sings what seems to be ‘together’ as it dances back and forth during the verse.

When the chorus starts, he breaks out into a brilliant rendition, sings ‘we’re all together’ and flaps his wings to the beat.

The bird looks happy with itself and puts a decent show on its black cage.

His cover was shared by Devon Cage and Aviary Bird Rescue, which has been viewed by 3.5 million people.

The hit movie cast was reunited for the first time in a decade for a one-off performance for ABC’s The Disney Family Singalong on Thursday night hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

The original cast, including Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel, showed the show remotely from their homes.

Heartthrob Zac Efron did not participate in the performance, but introduced the singers and said, “Hi everyone and I hope you are safe and healthy, you are doing the best you can in these unprecedented times.

“It is my great pleasure to introduce a musical performance by some of my oldest friends and some new ones.

“I hope you enjoy and remember we’re all in this together.”

An animal rescue spokesperson based in Coffinswell, South Devon, said, “Asher is just one of many different birds we rescue here.

“Usually birds come from people who can no longer take care of them, otherwise the bird could be injured. Once they are with us, they stay with us for the rest of their lives.

Although all the parrots living with us love to listen to music and dance along, Asher is by far the most flamboyant artist and, as you can see, he knows the words of this song and the dance moves too.

What was really great is not only how many people have watched the video now – over 3.5 million – but also the thousands of messages we’ve received from around the world with people saying how Asher’s singing and dancing day and what they say they play the movie several times a day during the closing to keep their spirits up. That makes us very happy. ‘
