Barbra Streisand left her fans stunned on Monday after publicly grilling Melissa McCarthy about her weight loss with a “rude comment.”
The Broadway legend, 82, couldn’t help but comment on a photo of the actress, 53, posing with her friend Adam Shankman, 59, in Sunday’s CTG Gala 2024 at the Ahmanson Theater.
The comedian, whose weight has fluctuated over the years, showed off her recently slimmed down figure in a chic mint dress and jacket, prompting Barbra to post: ‘Give my greetings. Did you take Ozempic?’
The EGOT-winning artist quickly received dozens of responses highlighting the nature of her query, and while she didn’t address the backlash, Barbra quietly deleted her comment.

Barbra left fans stunned after publicly grilling Melissa about her use of Ozempic in a scathing Instagram comment on Monday, which she later quietly deleted.

After a musical performance during which Barbara wore a white microphone, Oprah criticized her for even matching the microphone to her outfit and her dog.
She said: ‘I just want to say this… I own this studio, I’ve been here for I don’t know how many years. “I’ve never seen a white microphone.”
Barbra replied: ‘It’s actually off-white, matching my off-white sweater. I like simplicity and monochromatic frames.’

A leaked email from Larry to Barbra in 2012 highlighted his frustration, as he told her that she “didn’t have the same burning passion to do it as you always claim.”
However, Barbra defended herself by insisting: “In the press, Larry continued to speak against me.
“But I think it’s unfair to continue blaming me for not making the film.
‘I worked at it for 25 years, without pay. Larry had the rights for the last 15 years and he couldn’t do it either. Those are the facts.’

When Bradley’s remake of his 1976 film A Star is Born was released, Barbra couldn’t help but show her disappointment at the end result.
She confessed that she was initially on board before learning of Bradley’s involvement.
Barbra explained: “At first, when I heard it was being done again, it was supposed to be Will Smith and Beyoncé, and I thought, that’s interesting.
“Really doing it differently again, different type of music, actors integrated, I thought it was a great idea.”
Then I was surprised when I saw how similar it was to the version I made in 1976…
“I don’t care so much about success but about originality.”
