A wedding planner revealed how some nipple covers and cotton wool saved all the photos on her wedding day.
Georgie Mitchell, 31, and her long-term partner Brian, 33, tied the knot last December before hosting a glamorous black-tie reception near their home in Gloucestershire on New Year’s Eve.
Earlier this month, the mother of one — who runs wedding planning company Georgina Rose Events — posted an announcement Tik Tok discuss the morning of her wedding.
She explained, “Let me tell you, a cotton wool and nipple cover saved my marriage!”
After her makeup was professionally done, Georgie donned her figure-flattering wedding dress — which featured an elegant off-the-shoulder neckline and silver-embellished belt.
Georgie Mitchell, 31, from Gloucestershire, urged other brides to add fleece and nipple covers to their emergency kit on the morning of the wedding.
But once she put on her dream dress, Georgie realized that the indentation in her belly button kept catching her eye.
“I look in the mirror and the only thing I can see if it’s my belly button,” she explained.
You might be thinking, “Don’t be weird!” But the dress is literally a tight dress and all you can see if there is a big dent in my stomach where my belly button is.
“And I’m not saying people shouldn’t have belly buttons but that just wasn’t a vibe.”
Since it was too late to take any drastic action, Georgie thought on her feet and found a way to fix the problem using the items at her disposal.
The newlyweds said, “So to save the day, I roll some cotton pads (…) or you can get cotton balls and put them in my belly button and then put the nipple pad on top of it.”
Realizing that he probably didn’t bother everyone, Georgie added: “I know it sounds silly like I say it but it sounded really silly.
