Gabriel Jesus believes Tottenham signing Richarlison has the potential to be in the running for the Premier League Golden Boot this season.

And Brazilian team-mate Jesus, who joined Arsenal in another high-profile move, thinks his club’s rivals in north London have a real player on their hands.

Speaking during Arsenal’s pre-season tour of America, via the mirrorthe Gunners attacker said: ‘I hope we can both end the season by fighting for the Golden Boot because I like it.’

Jesus added: ‘He’s a very good guy, a great player, so I wish him all the best, but not against us!’

Mo Salah and Heung-min Son shared the Premier League’s top scorer award last season, after the pair both scored 23 goals.

Jesus has already scored three goals in his first two pre-season appearances for the Gunners.

Richarlison, however, has a blank in both cases, but manager Antonio Conte is not worried.

“I think he is physically strong and has a good personality, good character, good quality,” he said last week.

“Especially for Richy at this time, he’s working and we’re working with him on the tactical aspects, because he has to respond to our idea.

“At the same time, we have to work on the physical aspects to keep him fit. He’s definitely a player who gives me important positions up front, he’s a good player, strong and very good [at] protect the ball and attack the space. He also gave a good assist, I’m very happy we signed him.’
