Arsenal ‘are set to rival Manchester United for Kieran Trippier’, with Gunners ‘considering a swap deal with Hector Bellerin’ to sign the former Spurs defender
Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign Kieran Trippier this summer in what would mean crossing the gap to sign the former Tottenham player.
Trippier has enjoyed a stellar debut season in LaLiga after winning the league title with Atletico Madrid and being named Team of the Season after a campaign of consistent performance.
Trippier has been increasingly linked with Manchester United in recent weeks as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes a bid to compete for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

But now Arsenal has entered the equation, according to Brand in Spain, and are willing to add Hector Bellerin to any deal possible to get an agreement across the line.
It is noted that 26-year-old Bellerin is open to a return to Spain, with his career at Arsenal stalling in recent years due to persistent injury problems.
Atletico sporting director Andrea Berta is said to be a great admirer of former Barcelona player Bellerin and believes he can regain his best form back in his home country.
Brand report that Trippier is happy in the Spanish capital after a successful first season, but the 30-year-old lives alone in Madrid and his family remains in the North West of England.

A return to the Premier League before he reaches the twilight of his career is therefore not out of the question, and reports recently circulated that Trippier was looking for a home in Manchester.
Trippier’s start in Spain came to a screeching halt after he was given a 10-week ban from FIFA for an alleged betting rule violation surrounding his move to Atlético from Spurs.
However, the Bury-born star soon took a purple form with Trippier becoming a key member of the squad under boss Diego Simeone, playing a total of 68 games.
He has two years left on his current contract with Wanda Metropolitano.
