The report further claims that Camavinga has told his current employers that he will not sign a contract extension as his current deal expires next summer.
He is hesitant to do so in the hope that he can force a move once the window opens again in June.
Camavinga and Rennes have been in talks for months about the possibility of extending its current deal beyond 2022, but the youngster’s gigantic wage demands and signing bonus were considered ‘exorbitant’ by the club, RMC Sport added.
While Rennes’ hopes of keeping the midfielder are now dead for a few more years, the Ligue 1 side is demanding £ 100 million for Camavinga, despite having a free leave in a year’s time.
Camavinga is seen as one of the next big things in football, being scouted by the European elite
RMC Sport claims Rennes thinks this is a fair price given Camavinga is expected to be one of the world’s best players in a few years.
With negotiations on Camavinga starting at a high price, Rennes owner Francois Pinault, who is the 27th richest man in the world, would personally monitor the situation and basically set the player’s price that high.
Pinault also hopes to spark a bidding war, especially given the strong interest the player is getting from a number of Premier League clubs.
Camavinga’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has claimed they have already received “ a lot of offers from top clubs ” given his sky-high potential.

Camavinga’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, says he has received ‘many offers from top clubs’
“Believe me, we have a lot of offers this year, many and good offers,” Barnett said SNTV, as reported by Target.
‘I mean top, top clubs. We don’t want to rush. It’s the right time to move on and playing games is the most important thing in his age.
‘Playing in a good club is fun for him. It could be this year, or he wants another year. He needs to talk to his family, his father. We all sit down and decide. We will also talk and decide with Rennes. There is no rush for him.
He is probably the best young player in the world. He just turned 18. He has already been a French international. He is an incredible talent. He could play in any team in the world. He still becomes a great talent at nineteen. It’s not that old, you know, 19. “
