Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke will REJECT a new offer from Swedish billionaire Daniel Ek for the club, while the Spotify chief is poised to launch a new takeover bid of more than £2 BILLION after his £1.8 billion proposal was overthrown by the Americans
Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke will reportedly reject any new offer from Spotify founder Daniel Ek to buy the club.
Sports post exclusively revealed on Wednesday that the Swedish billionaire is preparing to raise his takeover bid to more than £2 billion after his failed opening bid of £1.8 billion last month.
Ek previously claimed that the besieged Gunners owner Kroenke had told him his family “didn’t need the money” when he tried to buy the club last time.

However, sources close to the Ek camp revealed that a second bid “north of £2bn” is being prepared and that they are “not going anywhere and trying to make a deal”. Club insiders have admitted they are waiting for a second offer.
However, according to The MirrorKroenke’s position has not changed and he will still not make a second offer to buy the Premier League giants.
Spotify founder Ek, 38, launched his bid amid furious protests against the US owners in the wake of their interest in joining the now doomed European Super League.
Arsenal and the rest of the Premier League’s Big Six have been jointly fined around £22 million for their role in the Super League fiasco – with any further attempts subject to a 30-point deduction.

Ek took his interest to the public and outlined his vision for the future of the club, including fan ownership, board-level representation and a golden section for supporters.
In fact, he has the support of a host of Arsenal legends, including Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry.
Kroenke, 73, who took full control in 2018, is very unpopular with large parts of the club’s support. His son, Josh, is the club’s director and a key figure in its day-to-day business.
The Gunners finished eighth in the Premier League, meaning they will be without European football next season for the first time in 25 years.

Speaking on the ITV Football Podcast Last month, Vieira said he believes the early rejection has not stopped Ek from trying to buy the club again and that he will stay in it for the long haul, stressing the club is “at a critical juncture” .
‘He [Ek] will definitely give it another try,’ said Vieira.
“He will be there for a very long time. He is a huge Arsenal fan. And talking to him a few times, his desire and his dedication to Arsenal Football Club will be fantastic.
“Obviously if the club is not for sale he can’t do anything but he will be there and he will wait and he wants to buy the club.
“I think it will be very important because Arsenal are at a critical moment. For me, this is the right time for him to do his very best or to do whatever is possible to buy the club, to convince the country to buy the club.”
