Arsenal MUST sign ‘unpredictable’ Wilfried Zaha this summer because he is ‘just the player they need’, emphasizes Gunners legend Emmanuel Petit

Arsenal have been urged to finally strike a deal for Wilfried Zaha this summer by former Gunner Emmanuel Petit.
Once again, Mikel Arteta’s side has been linked with a transfer for Ivory Coast international Zaha, who has made it clear he wants to leave Crystal Palace this summer.
With rivals from North London reportedly interested in the attacker along with Everton, Petit insists his former club must act now and buy Zaha because he is ‘exactly the player Arsenal need’.

Talking to bookmakers this week Paddy PowerPetit said: ‘When I played for Arsenal in the late 90s we had Marc Overmars, Sylvain Wiltord and Robert Pires – these players were so exciting to watch.
“Zaha is an unpredictable player, you don’t know what he’s going to do with the ball.
“He has a strong character and sometimes he has to control his emotions, but he is exactly the kind of player Arsenal need. He would get the fans excited and also encourage his own teammates.
Zaha is also wanted by both Tottenham and Everton this summer
“For centuries, Arsenal haven’t had a player who could dribble or make a difference with the ball at his feet. With Zaha they would have someone who can take responsibility and is not afraid to take on defenders.”
Arsenal are now under pressure to impress in the summer transfer window after another disappointing season on the pitch.
An eighth place means that Arteta’s side missed out on European football completely and failed to even secure a place in the newly formed Europe conference competition.
The Gunners are now seen as falling behind their peers in the ‘big six’ of English football, and were dealt another blow this week after they appeared to miss a top Aston Villa goal.
Arsenal and Aston Villa fight over Norwich striker Emiliano Buendia’s signature
As reported by Sports post, Villa now strikes a club-record £40m deal for Norwich City midfielder Emi Buendia.
Villa Park’s side moved on Friday to stave off competition from Arsenal by agreeing to pay £33million plus add-ons up to £40million for Argentina’s Buendia. The clubs have also agreed on a resale percentage.
Arsenal had been offered £30million plus extras after discovering last week that Martin Odegaard would be out of their reach as Real Madrid put him at £50million.
