Santi Cazorla revealed he would consider a return to Arsenal as the 40-year-old nears the end of his contract in Spain.

He currently plays for Real Oviedo in the Spanish second division, but his current contract expires in the summer of 2025.

After 21 years of professional career, his retirement is not expected to be far away, and the Spaniard is already considering his future career options after hanging up his boots.

‘Yes, why not? “Arsenal is my home,” he said, after being asked if he would consider returning to the Emirates.

“I love the club and the people, so we’ll see in the future.

‘I don’t know (what role I would have). “I would have to think about that, but definitely something in football, because that’s what I love.”

Cazorla made 180 appearances for Arsenal between 2012 and 2018, winning two FA Cups and two FA Community Shields in that time.

His stay at the club was ruined by injuries in the latter stages. In his final two years, he only made 11 appearances.

During his years in north London, he forged a close bond with Mikel Arteta, who played for the club between 2011 and 2016. Their wives became close; Their children would play together.
