Unai Emery admits he wants Nicolas Pepe to make the last step in his adaptation to Arsenal and English football ‘quickly.’
Arsenal splashed out a club record £72m fee to sign winger Pepe during the summer after he starred for French club Lille last season, scoring 22 times and registering 11 assists.
The 24 year-old has featured in all six of Arsenal’s games so far, starting three of them, but has yet to make a real impact and recorded just one assist as he takes his time to adjust following his big-money move.

Emery said: ‘He needs more adaptation.
‘He is playing good but progressively we know there is going to be more performance in him to help us and I want to do now quickly the last step in the adaptation for us, for example, against Aston Villa.

‘We are working with him first for that adaptation.
‘After the training now we are watching individual videos with him, also to push him to achieve the details tactically we need for him because he is playing well but also we need in our organisation to be strong with every player to improve a lot.’
