Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly considering signing Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich, whose future with the German giants looks increasingly uncertain.

The 29-year-old is under contract until the end of next season but, according to Sky Germanynegotiations on a new agreement have stalled.

The impasse over his contract renewal has left Kimmich “considering his options” ahead of the summer, while Bayern could be forced to cash in or risk losing the midfielder for free in 12 months.

According to the German report, Arsenal are among the clubs interested in the Germany international, alongside Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

It is significant, however, that Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are not currently among the clubs interested in Kimmich.

Bayern sought to include the midfielder in a deal for Kieran Trippier during the January transfer window, but Newcastle turned down three separate offers for the England right-back.

A veteran of 82 caps for Germany, Kimmich has won 20 major trophies since joining Bayern from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2015, including the last eight Bundesliga titles.

The Bavarian giants are, however, unlikely to extend their domestic dominance as they sit 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen with eight matches remaining.

And the midfielder was reportedly held up during a spat in a tunnel. with Thomas Tuchelafter Bayern’s 3-2 loss to Bochum last month, their third defeat in eight days.

According to PictureKimmich – who was substituted just after the hour mark – argued with Tuchel’s assistant coach Zsolt Low as he returned to the locker room.

The heated exchange appeared to be over, but Low then shouted something at Kimmich as he walked up the stairs into the tunnel, sparking another confrontation.

Bayern captain Manuel Neuer and several other teammates then intervened to prevent things from escalating further.

Following the incident, Tuchel refused to reveal the exact details of what happened, but insisted things had not gotten out of hand between the pair.

“I know what was going on. It’s not for the public,” he told reporters.

“We are in a football locker room. This is a fairly normal phenomenon if we respect it within certain limits. And it stayed within limits.

While Tuchel has taken Bayern to the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they will face Arsenal, the club has already announced his departure at the end of the season.
