Disgruntled shoppers are complaining about a “sneaky” change Arnott’s is said to have made to its classic Iced VoVo biscuits.
Some customers reported that the cookies were smaller than they remembered, with a “thinner layer of pink fondant on top.”
However, Arnott’s refuted the claim, telling FEMAIL that no changes have been made to the iconic recipe in recent years.
“Who remembers Iced VoVos ever being this flat? » It looks like he’s been crushed by a steamroller! said one man online.
“I miss the frozen VoVo when they had the marshmallows sitting on top of the cookie, not flat like they are now,” a second agreed.
Australian customers are angry after claiming they noticed Iced VoVo biscuits had “shrunk” and had less pink fondant on top.
‘I agree. Very puny and so much smaller. I won’t buy them,” someone added.
Others say today’s frozen VoVos are “nothing like” the cookies they remember from their childhood.
A woman said 7NEWS she spent $4 on a pack of cookies and was shocked to see they were “the size of a postage stamp.”
“The marshmallow topping was almost non-existent. On the packet it looks fluffy, plump and bright pink. In reality, it’s more white than pink and very flat,” she said.
An Arnott spokesperson told FEMAIL there had been no changes to Australian favorite Iced VoVo.
“So much thinner than what appears on the package. It’s a little sneaky, there’s definitely been a change.
