And Arnold Schwarzenegger embarked on one of his most unexpected career moves yet by becoming the face of Lidl’s new DIY range.
The 76-year-old Austrian actor is now an ambassador for PARKSIDE, the supermarket’s home improvement brand.
Appearing in a comedic commercial to unveil this exciting new partnership, Arnold puts on a standout performance as he re-enacts the legendary moment from his colorful career, set in a DIY PARKSIDE parallel universe.
As a former mason and versatile handyman, the Terminator star is no stranger to the tools he saw wielding in the film.

Playful: In a new ad, Arnold pulls off a stellar performance as he re-enacts a legendary moment from his colorful career.
In the trailer, Arnold says, “I’m here to talk about my tools for success. Everything I built because I had the power in the palm of my hands. Just like you!’
He is then seen throwing a drill into the hands of a young man before the scene turns into a playground where the star is talking to a group of children.
He says, “I wasn’t afraid to fail, to think outside the box. I built a new box!’
Arnold is then seen in a work room and tells a welder, “A blueprint is only as big as the tools you use to execute it. »
The former Mr. Olympia is next seen sawing wood on a suburban street as an elderly lady looks on.
Arnold says, “Success means having the power to do it yourself. »
The camera then moves to reveal that he sawed the wood into the shape of himself posing on the Mr. Olympia stage.
He adds jokingly: “Muscles scare the birds”.

Action Star: As a former bricklayer and versatile handyman, the Terminator star is no stranger to the tools he’s seen wielding in the film.
The trailer ends with Arnold helping the young man from the start of the commercial to perform a bench press, saying, “Now let’s build another bench, ok, come on!”
In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Arnold revealed that he often feels emotional when he thinks back to his competitive days in bodybuilding.
Opening up about his training motivation, he said: “I’m protecting my body and doing therapeutic training at the same time. I do faster, lighter but correct exercises and try to stay young.
“I train to stay alive, to be able to make my films. I come here and I do 25 to 30 sets in half an hour.
“When you train, it’s not just your body that gets pumped up and pumped up with blood, it’s also your mind. And you have a much more positive outlook on the day and on life when you’ve ever had a pump behind you, or a bike ride, or a run, or a tennis match, or whatever sport you play.
