Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili will undergo a medical before sealing a £30million move to Liverpool.
The 23-year-old Georgian international will become the first signing of the Arne Slot era, but will remain at Valencia on loan for the season.
Mamardashvili will cost around £25m with another £5m in add-ons and a ten per cent sell-on clause.
Meanwhile, Liverpool continue to discuss potential new signings for this week.
Mail Sport reported earlier this month that the Reds were exploring the opportunity to sign Mamardashvili, who is regarded as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe.

The goalkeeper will become Arne Slot’s first signing since taking over as Reds manager.
The goalkeeper, who came through Dinamo Tbilisi’s academy, joined Valencia permanently in 2022 following a loan spell at the club and has racked up over 100 appearances for the LaLiga side.
The 23-year-old also featured in all of Georgia’s matches at Euro 2024, helping them reach the last 16, with Mamardashvili shining in their memorable 2-0 win over Portugal in the group stage.
Alisson will remain Liverpool’s number one for at least next season, but the Reds were keen to seize the opportunity. to sign a goalkeeper of Mamardashvili’s calibre.
