A man was rushed to hospital after being hit by 500kg of wet concrete which fell on him.

The 38-year-old man was struck by concrete at a construction site in Sydney’s south on the M6 ​​motorway at Marsh St in Arncliffe at 2am on Thursday morning.

He has been taken to St George’s Hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition.

Paramedics attended the scene and treated the man for neck and wrist injuries, police told Seven News.

The incident is being treated as a workplace accident and has been referred to SafeWork NSW.
