Armed police swarm around hotel on the Bognor Regis coast after reports of ‘man in need’

Outside a seafront hotel in Bognor Regis, a massive armed police presence has been observed following reports of a ‘man in need’.
The armed officers were depicted around the Royal Norfolk Hotel on The Esplanade and part of the coast was cordoned off.
A Sussex police spokesman said the “ongoing incident” in West Sussex involved a “man in need.”
Both spectators and plainclothes officers were spotted nearby this morning by spectators.

A large number of police cars and vans are parked in nearby streets, and a drone is being used to investigate the scene, witnesses said The Argus.
A Sussex police spokesman said, “Police are currently dealing with an ongoing incident involving a man in need at The Esplanade, Bognor Regis.
“We have no further information at this stage.”
