This year, Lake has also pushed conspiracy theories about voting by mail and early voting. demanding a single day of in-person voting. His support for early and mail-in voting on the eve of the election echoes the radical change of the former president donald trumpwho has also realized that without early voting and by mail he has no chance of winning.

Lake may have changed her mind about the veracity of mail-in votes, but she remains convinced the election will be stolen from her. The only solution? “We’re going to make it too big to handle,” Lake told his followers.

Throughout his Senate campaign, Lake has repeatedly refused to answer a simple question: would you be willing to accept the election results?

Vote suggests that Lake could be about to face another loss and, based on his comments throughout the campaign, it is unlikely that Lake, who still not admitting that he lost in 2022will be willing to give in kindly.

In the end, Lake took his challenge to court and lost again. Undeterred, Lake continued to ingratiate herself with Trump and MAGA, and was even considered a possible vice presidential candidate.

Now, Lake has stated that it would be foolish to commit to accepting the election results without knowing what those results are.

Many of his supporters who spoke to WIRED on Monday night agreed with Lake, convinced there was already fraud in the election.

“I don’t think we should accept anything until we know the elections are honest. We know the last one was rigged and the 2020 one was rigged,” Sandy, a Lake supporter from Prescott Valley, tells WIRED.

But there were also some supporters who urged their candidate to do the right thing and concede if she were defeated.

“We have no choice, we have to accept the results,” says Rick Starmer, of Chino Valley in Yavapai County.
