Ariana Grande reveals punk shoot is now ‘halfway done’ while considering ‘life-changing’ experience

Date:

Ariana Grande He provides a rare update on the making of the highly anticipated two-part film Wicked on social media.

On Monday, the pop star, who plays Glinda Upland (aka The Good Witch Of The South), took to her Instagram page and revealed that filming had already taken place ‘halfway through’ along with a photo of her posing under an arch. Completely arched rainbow.

Savor every millisecond left with my very own Glinda (even though she will be with me irrevocably, forever). “She shows me so many new things every day,” wrote Grande, 29, with an apparent enthusiasm behind her words.

“I am so grateful, I don’t know what to do or say…to be here in Oz where every day is life changing…to feel, learn and grow so much so quickly…to feel so much love around me, to start each day before That the sun rises and ends after the sun goes down…” she added, before praising fellow co-star Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba Thropp (aka the Wicked Witch of the West) and director John M. Chu 43.

She continued, “To hold in my bright twin flame hands / My beautiful green sister Cynthia (Erivo) every day…to work in the safest, sweetest, most loving, most intimate/small-feeling…to be led by the most thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate, warmest manager ever.” This planet, my best friend Ozian ever, Jon… to transform and heal parts of me I never knew needed. Or maybe they did.

Rare update: Ariana Grande, 29, opened up about her experience filming the two-part movie adaptation of Wicked which she revealed was ‘halfway done’ in an Instagram post on Monday.

Grande is still over the moon, or the rainbow, about scoring the role of Galinda in Wicked, then apologizes “for this most cancerous post.” Words aren’t enough but I suppose I just wanted to (try to) share a little bit.

The singer and actress, who launched her musical career at the age of 15 in the 2008 Broadway musical, admitted she didn’t want the experience to end.

So while I’m still here, present, right now, I just wanted….and let my heart flood. I hope this isn’t just a dream because as much as I try to be present, it sure feels like one.

The Thank U, Next star ended the post by sharing gratitude for the people she’s been working with since filming began on Dec. 9, 2022.

‘Happy halfway through this nicest crew.’ My fellow ozians. My heart will be stuck here forever.

Erivo, 36, shared her thoughts in the comments section, writing: “My sweet sister. I love you so much, this time has been so transformative, I can’t imagine my life without you in it!! The most beautiful days in Oz are ahead of us, and more in our lives!!! stick with me! With three green heart emojis.

Back in late April 2022, Cho, who was working from a screenplay by Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz, went public to announce The adaptation will be filmed in two parts.

“As we have prepared for production over the past year, it has become impossible to wrestle the ‘Wicked’ story into one movie without doing it real harm,” he began. When we tried to cut songs or trim characters, those decisions started to feel like fatal compromises to the source material I’ve all enjoyed for so many years. We decided to give ourselves a bigger canvas and make not one but two “evil” movies! With more space, we can tell the “Wicked” story as it was meant to be told while bringing more depth and surprise to these beloved characters’ journeys.

Filming is expected to continue until at least July.
