The trolls of social networks have blamed Ariana Grande for the suspicion of death by overdose of her former Mac Miller. The 26-year-old rapper (up with Grande in March) had battled substance abuse and addiction long before dating the singer
Ariana Grande's Instagram was flooded with comments from trolls accusing her of causing the apparent overdose of former boyfriend Mac Miller minutes after the news of the 26-year-old rapper's death was known.
Miller reportedly suffered cardiac arrest in a dormitory at his home outside of Los Angeles around noon Friday, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, according to a TMZ report.
In less than 10 minutes since the initial report appeared, Grande had closed the comment section on his Instagram account, but not after dozens of users posted unpleasant messages such as "This is your fault" and "You did this to him" .
The comments claimed that Grande was guilty of Miller's suspected overdose because he had ended his two-year relationship in May and then engaged with comedian Pete Davidson a month later.
Miller's friends say that they still had to warn others not to mention the relationship when they talked to him because he was "too sensitive" in the following months.
While the anguish may have been recent, Miller's battle with substance abuse and addiction goes back more than a decade, even before meeting the singer.
Grande has remained silent after the sudden death of the rapper, but insiders told ET that the 25-year-old is "disconsolate" and "devastated."
"Even though the two put an end to their relationship, Ariana always shared a deep connection with Mac and wanted nothing more than the best for him, Ariana is very upset," said one source.
"Despite her division, Ariana had always been in favor of her sobriety," a second source added.
Shortly after Grande deactivated the comments on his Instagram account, his boyfriend Davidson erased all the photos he had.

Grande and Miller, pictured left in April, separated after two years together in May. She started dating comedian Pete Davidson, photographed at the VMAs last month, shortly thereafter, and the pair announced their commitment in June.
Miller and Grande met about six years ago when she was 19, and announced they were coming out in the fall of 2016.
The rapper helped Grande overcome his pain after a terrorist attack at his concert in Manchester in May last year. That June she returned to England with her to mount a challenging performance at a tribute concert that she arranged.
The couple remained very loved until May of this year when they suddenly separated.
Grande tackled the break in an Instagram story, writing about Miller: "I respect and adore [Malcolm] endlessly and I'm grateful to have it in my life in any way.
The message was written around an image of the singer Dangerous Woman and the musician locked in a hug while lying on a sofa.
The full text read: & # 39; Hello! This is one of my best friends around the world and the favorite people on the planet Malcolm McCormick. I respect him and I adore him infinitely and I am grateful to have him in my life in any way, at any moment, no matter how our relationship changes or what the universe has for each one of us. Unconditional love is not selfish. It is the best for that person, even if at this moment it is not you. I can not wait to meet you and support you forever, and I am very proud of you!
The incendiary comments flooded Grande's Instagram account after Miller's death was reported for the first time on Friday. While the comments are no longer visible in the account, many of them were captured on screengrabs and shared on Twitter

Less than a week after the separation, Miller, who has long battled substance abuse and addiction, was arrested for driving drunk after he crashed his SUV and fled the scene.
After the arrest, Ariana tweeted: "Please take care of yourself."
Directly after the collision, many of Miller's fans beat her ex, accusing her of dropping him out of the car.
On May 21, Twitter user Elijah Flint wrote: "Mac Miller is totally his G wagon and gets a DUI after Ariana Grande left him for another guy after he gave his heart in a ten-song album called Divino feminine is simply the most heartrending What is happening in Hollywood.
Grande responded with a statement that said: "How absurd it is that you minimize the woman's self-respect and self-esteem by saying that someone should remain in a toxic relationship because she wrote an album about them, which is certainly not the case (only Cinderella is ab yo).
"I am not a nanny or a mother, and no woman should feel that they should be, I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety and have prayed for his balance for years (and I will always do it of course), but embarrass / blame the Women for the inability of a man to keep his sh ** is a very serious problem.
& # 39; Please, stop doing that. Of course, I did not share how difficult or terrifying it was while it was happening, but it was. I will continue praying from the bottom of my heart to discover everything and that any other woman in this position will also do so. "
In May of this year, not long after his separation from Grande, Miller was arrested after being run over in Los Angeles. Later he was slapped with DUI

Miller's struggle with substance abuse goes back to when he was only 15 years old, and has been documented extensively in both the media and his own music.
In multiple interviews, Miller talked about how he had started using drugs, including cocaine and opiates, very early in his career.
During his 2012 Macadelic tour, the artist became addicted to the "purple drink" or "poor drink" – a mixture of promethazine and codeine medications – but managed to quit after realizing how he had taken over his life.
"I love Lean, it's great, I was not happy and I was very thin, I was so screwed all the time it was bad, my friends could not even look at me the same way, I was lost," he told Complex in 2013.
It was not until early this summer that his addiction issues made headlines again, when Miller was arrested for drunk driving and crashing his SUV in Los Angeles just a week after his breakup with Grande.
He was convicted in that incident last month.
Miller is photographed in front of his house on August 22 after his DUI conviction stemming from an accident the week after he and Grande separated in May.
The day before his death, Vulture published an interview in which Miller described feeling "pressured" by his fame and his fight against depression.
& # 39; I really would not like happiness. And I do not just want sadness either. I do not want to be depressed I want to be able to have good days and bad days.
I can not imagine not waking up sometimes and saying: & # 39; I do not feel like doing s ** t & # 39; And then have days when you wake up and you feel on top of the world, "he said.
Elsewhere, he said: & # 39; & # 39; There is pressure. Many times in my life I have exerted this pressure to keep up with what I thought it should be, or how it was supposed to be perceived.
It's work. This is what I signed up for. So, you just have to not. You have to have your own reality and that has to be the driving force of your life.
& # 39; I wish that everything I did when I was 19 years old was not an argument? Sure, "he said.
Miller tweeted a link to the Vulture article along with a plug for his next fall tour.
& # 39; Go find tickets for the tour. Thundercat J.I.D. I bring a band. The show will be special every night. I wish it would start tomorrow. It starts on October 27, "he wrote.
Twelve hours before finding his body, Miller also shared videos on his Instagram account from inside his home.

Shortly after the 911 call came in, LAPD and Fire officials took over the scene. Initial reports have said that there does not seem to be anything criminal.
Just after 2:00 p.m. local time, a coroner arrived at Miller's Studio City house on Friday, and it was noted that the body had been removed before 4 p.m. M.
It has been widely reported that Miller's death is the result of an overdose, although that has not been confirmed.
A statement from Miller's family read: "Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans like Mac Miller, died tragically at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thanks for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. No more details about the cause of his death at this time & # 39;
