A former agent from Argentina will face trial in 2019 for the execution of a retired married couple she befriended, robbing them and paying for her daughter’s birthday party at Disney World.

Soloaga’s friend and fellow police officer Diego Alberto Pachilo, 36, faces suspicious charges.
Both worked at the same police station and were fired immediately after their arrest on July 16.
According to chief prosecutor Estela Andrades, Soloaga could be sentenced to life in prison for serious theft with a firearm, double murder and false charges.
A trial date has not yet been set, Argentine newspaper Cronica reported.
Former Buenos Aires, Argentina, police officer Sonia Rebeca Soloaga will be tried for the June 2019 murder of an elderly couple from whom she stole $ 80,000 to pay for her daughter’s 15th birthday at Disney World
Alberto Antonio Chirico (left) and María Delia Speranza (right) were allegedly executed at their home in June 2019 by a police officer whom they befriended during their patrol in Buenos Aires, Flores, Buenos Aires.
Andrades said that Soloaga plotted the deaths of the elderly couple so that she could steal the significant amount, part of which would have been used to cover a $ 9,000 bill for her daughter’s upcoming 15th birthday, or quiceanera, at the amusement park in Florida.
Soloaga developed a close relationship with the Chirico and Speranza, who often invited her into their home to use the bathroom and enjoy the couple’s meals while patrolling the Flores neighborhood.
During the home invasion, Chirico and Speranza were hit in the head by the agent they had become fond of because they were forced to reveal the location of their savings, which were hidden in a milk reservoir, a box of cornstarch, a plastic tube and shoebox.

Forensic reports revealed that Chirico and Speranza were forced to lie face down and put a pillow over their heads before each were shot with Soloaga’s 9mm service weapon.
Authorities became suspicious of Soloaga after she filed a report that her gun and a bag containing 300,000 Argentine pesos – about $ 4,486 – had been taken from her by armed robbers.
Investigators had access to surveillance cameras, but were unable to confirm Soloaga’s story that had been shot at her during the robbery.
