  • The thick gray and white coats of snow leopards make them masterful at disguise

Can you see the snow leopards hiding between the rocks in the photos below?

Test your eyesight by seeing how quickly you can spot the inconspicuous creatures trapped between rocks in a ravine on the high Tibetan Plateau on Tuesday.

Snow leopards’ thick white and gray coats mean they evolved to live in harsh winter conditions – but also give them incredible natural camouflage. They are also called ‘ghosts of the mountains’.

At first glance, it seems that all you can see is a rocky landscape.

But if you look closely, you should be able to see two animals playing an impressive game of hide and seek.

The snow leopard population is considered vulnerable, making their ability to hide from predators more important than ever.
