When it comes to real estate, the Hampton market is one of the most expensive in the country, but now Atlantic Beach may be giving the area a run for its money.

The most expensive property currently available for sale in the town of 2,000 residents recently went up for sale with an asking price of $11.5 million, a new area record.
The 7,000-square-foot home at 139 Bayside Drive consists of six bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The last time it was on the market, it sold for $2.33 million.

The proximity to the city is particularly attractive, with traffic jams ruining the nearly three-hour drive to the Hamptons during peak summer months.
“Prices here have nearly doubled since COVID and now the return to a normal office work week is fueling another rush of convenience-valuing buyers. Some are looking to live here full-time, others want a second or third home that’s closer than the Hamptons, and they all share the same problem: there isn’t enough inventory for the number of buyers out there.’
