“While this is a time-saving trick for busy people or parents with restless children, first be sure to check that the rack material is heat resistant and compatible with the fryer, otherwise it can pose a major fire hazard “he warned. .
‘It’s also important to note that while common kitchen items such as aluminum foil and baking trays are suitable for use in most air fryers, you should avoid using items such as plastic or liners. non-heat-resistant silicone, porcelain bowls or plates, wax papers and paper towels.

As for the microwave trend, he explained that each model has different settings, so it’s important to make sure yours is ‘adjusted’ accordingly before following advice from the internet.
“While 20 seconds on high heat is an appropriate amount of time to leave a whole lemon for a bit, you may need to adjust the time or temperature to suit yours,” the appliance expert shared.
“Otherwise, this can not only damage your device, but can also pose a serious fire risk if left unattended.”
