Apple is infuriating developers by releasing iOS 14 without giving them enough time to prepare their app for the App Store

  • Apple announced on Tuesday that it will launch its new iOS on Wednesday, which is an early release
  • Developers thought the release would be sometime next week
  • This only gave them one day to prepare apps for assessment
  • Many developers have shared their frustrations with Apple on Twitter

Many developers were blinded by Apple’s decision to launch iOS 14 on Wednesday, as many thought it would not release until next week.

The tech giant shared the news on Tuesday at its ‘Times Flies’ event, and while users are enthusiastic, developers had to work double to meet the submission deadline.

Launch day is also used to promote new app features through press releases, blog posts and social media, but the early release means developers will not be able to market their technologies.

With the surprise announcement, many developers have flocked to Twitter to share their frustrations with the company – mainly that it has burned developers’ goodwill.
