AOC’s brother lashes out at ‘leftist rants’ after his sister, accusing her of being hypocritical

Representative Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez’s brother went after “left-wing rants” his sister called out, accusing her of being a hypocrite after her ‘TAX THE RICH’ dress appearance at the $35,000-a-head Met Gala.

On Monday night, the left-wing fire department made headlines by wearing a tailored white dress with the words “TAX THE RICH” on it, designed by Brother Vellies.

Gabriel Ocasio-Cortez, who works in real estate, went furious himself on Instagram as he defended his congresswoman’s bold fashion statement.

“She went with no intention of rubbing elbows, that’s why every other politician goes,

She wore a statement dress about the ultra-rich who didn’t pay their fair share right in front of them.

“Would you rather she try to wear the same dress outside McDonald’s in an attempt to get the same reaction? Really curious,’ he said.

Gabriel called critics of AOC’s performance at Met Gala “f****** corny” and accused them of criticizing his sister without even knowing “who their congressman is.”

‘You all love to talk shit about someone walking the walk

‘I find it very interesting how many ‘leftists’ say ‘how could she go somewhere so expensive?!’ as if she paid for it herself or with public dollars.

“Meanwhile, you’re all the same heaux yelling, ‘Republicans always stick together, we need to copy that energy.’

“Even if it’s not your thing when it comes to political posts, sitting in your unwashed sheets with your dick in your hand and commenting ‘health care plz’ is f****** lame.”

He then challenged the “ranters” to continue their social media activism and find a real platform to showcase it.

“Why don’t you make a statement bigger than this so you can show us all ‘how to do it’? I’ll wait,’ he concluded.

Backlash against AOC continued to be strong on Twitter as users continued to bring out the irony in her message and the platform she used to deliver it.

Andray Domise, a writer and partner in the black news network Rezistans Nwa, also pointed out that the gala took place just yards from where the NYPD arrested ‘defund the police’ protesters — a cause AOC has previously supported.

“Police were nibbling outside people’s minds while you and your friends nibbled watermelon tarts with smoked yuzu soy on panipuri crackers,” he said.

Greg Price, a writer for the Daily Caller, added: “AOC grew up in an affluent suburb, attended one of the most expensive colleges in America, earns a six-figure salary, drives a Tesla, lives above a whole food and is currently at an event costing more than the average personal income of America.”

Actor and comedian Michael Rappaport also weighed in. He shared a photo of AOC during a fitting session and captioned it: ‘Custom TAX THE RICH dress at the most elite event in the world.

Rich soon with a gigantic production deal from somewhere & done with politics, guarantee it.

“Stop treating ANY of these people like celebrities, they’re officials working for the US.”

Gabriel also championed his sister's designer, Aurora James, praising the fact that her brand, Brother Veilles, is a black, sustainable, woman-owned company.

AOC also targeted “haters” who criticized her bold fashion statement at the Met gala and labeled her a hypocrite. She said she was invited as one of New York’s elected officials responsible for “overseeing and supporting the city’s cultural institutions to the public.”

“By ‘the rich’ do you mean the kind of people who can afford the stuff sold on the website of the designer who designed your dress and invited you to the Met Gala?” one user tweeted.

Another Twitter user jumped on AOC’s defense, claiming that her dress actually sparked a conversation about the matter.

“She caught your eye in the donated designer dress and invitation. I’d say she’s quite brilliant,” they wrote.

According to Met Museum spokeswoman Nancy Chilton, the Democrat fire extinguisher attended the star-studded event Tuesday night as guests of the museum.

Ocasio-Cortez’s friend, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, his wife and son also took free tickets worth a total of $175K, which could have been sold to support the museum.

The $35,000 ticket proceeds will go to the Met’s Costume Institute, one of the few departments not receiving government funding, to support the exhibitions, acquisitions and capital improvements.

AOC did not buy its own ticket, but it remains a mystery who paid for the politicians after it became known that event organizer Conde Nast did not cover the cost of the tickets.
