Squad leader AOC has slammed Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance’s “SUPER weird” political platform, saying they are trying to appeal to sexually frustrated voters.
The bizarre line of attack comes after Vance weathered criticism for calling Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris a “childless cat lady.”
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s attack on Trump and Vance supporters was accompanied by a series of insults against the Republican presidential ticket, calling the GOP duo “creepy” and “abnormal.”
“Obsessing over suppressing women is nonsense,” AOC posted on X in response to a post by former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. “Trying to constantly watch what LGBTQ+ people are doing is abnormal.”
New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Donald Trump and JD Vance are courting incels to vote for them. The term incel commonly refers to hyper-connected men who express their desire for romantic relationships online despite being unable to find a partner.
“Punishing people who have no biological offspring is creepy,” the squad leader continued.
“It’s an incel platform, man. It’s SUPER weird. And people need to know that,” he added of the Republican presidential nomination.
The New York Democrat specifically referenced how Donald Trump and JD Vance are courting incels to vote for them.
Incel commonly refers to hyper-connected men who express their desire for romantic relationships online despite being unable to find a partner.
The title is often derogatory and is meant to indicate sexually frustrated and disconnected men.
The progressive’s comments came in response to a post by Ramaswamy that mentioned how Democrats are trying to paint Trump and Vance as “weird.”
“This whole argument from Democrats about ‘being weird’ is silly and childish,” she began her post.
‘This is a presidential election, not a high school prom queen contest.’
“It’s also a bit ironic that this is coming from a party that preaches ‘diversity and inclusion.’ If you can, win on policy, but stop talking nonsense,” the former candidate’s message said.
“It’s an incel platform, man. It’s SUPER weird,” AOC said of the policy Trump and Vance are pushing.
The progressive denounced that Republicans are too focused on women’s and LGBT issues
Ocasio-Cortez said Trump and Vance are “trying to see what LGBTQ+ people do all the time” and added that it is “abnormal”
To the former candidates’ credit, the recent political attacks between Republicans and Democrats have been truly bizarre.
Donald Trump’s vice presidential nominee JD Vance spent last week under the spotlight after his past remarks calling Democratic leaders “a bunch of childless cat ladies” went viral.
The comments, taken from a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson, singled out Vice President-turned-presidential candidate Kamala Harris as one of many childless leaders, Vance said, “who are miserable” and “want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”
Her provocative theory drew rebuttals from Friends star Jennifer Aniston, pop star Kesha and Vice President Harris’ own stepdaughter.
And on Sunday night, Vance defended his past comments, responding to critics of his “childless cat lady” remarks by claiming those who criticized him lied about what he said.
The 39-year-old Ohio senator appeared on Fox News’ “Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy,” where he reiterated his point.
JD Vance appeared on Fox News where he reaffirmed his claims about the “childless cat lady”
“If you look at what the left has done, they’ve taken this wildly out of context and, in fact, aggressively lied about what I’ve said,” Vance said.
“What I think is true, Trey, and this goes to the heart of what I was saying three years ago in those comments, but it’s something I’ll continue to talk about, is that the left has become increasingly explicitly anti-child and anti-family,” he continued.
On Sunday, Gowdy pointed out to Vance that there have been plenty of leaders without biological children, from George Washington to former Republican Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
“I think you’ll agree with me that you don’t have to have direct descendants to fully invest in the future of this country,” Gowdy said.
“Absolutely not, Trey. I think being a parent has a profound effect on a person’s outlook and we should honor and respect that,” Vance said.
“But there are a lot of people who don’t have children for a lot of reasons. And they are certainly wonderful people who can participate fully in the life of this country.”
