Anya, 28, told host Kelly about faking the look of a shaved head: “Amazing job from our hair and makeup department.” “That took five hours and everything was perfect.”

The Florida-born actress admitted her willingness to shave her head, but said director George Miller “fell in love with my hair,” insisting she keep her long blonde braids.

When asked how they kept busy during the hours-long process, the Queen’s Gambit sensation responded: “You surround yourself with really good people and then you laugh all the time.”

For his part, Hemsworth, 40, shared, “I’m not good at sitting still, especially at three or four in the morning.”

On the other hand, he noted: “But having that transformation and not recognizing who is looking at you helps you get into the mental space.”

The Australian heartthrob added: “Like anything, the sets, the costumes, the prosthetics, the hair and makeup, they all help tell the story you’re trying to resonate with the audience.” He was grateful for it.’

Taylor-Joy also commented on the film’s use of artificial intelligence to achieve similarity to a child actress playing a younger version of her character.

“They blended our faces and at the beginning of the movie it was 35% and then when I picked it up it was up to 80%,” he explained.

“I never thought I’d stare my eyes and mouth into another person’s face,” the actress marveled.

While talking about the increasing use of AI, Anya said: ‘There is a reason why our industry went on strike.

“It’s a scary thing and I think if you’re going to use it, you have to be honest about it and it always has to be consensual.” What’s scary is the lack of consent in anything in life.

Earlier this month he spoke with Variety about the prequel, revealing the shocking request Miller regularly made while filming the movie.

She explained: “We would do takes where he would say, ‘Do it again with your mouth closed.’ He has a thing with my mouth. He thinks when my mouth is open I look too young.

Anya added: “This is a wasteland, and any outburst of emotion is punishable by death…

‘Any empathy is punished with death; any kindness, really. It all made sense to me. I think the restrictions that George placed on me created a radiation in the character, because he is continually being suppressed throughout the film.’
