The 31-year-old recipient has been cut by both the Oakland Raiders and the New England Patriots in the past two months. A possible return to the NFL may depend on the judgment of the current NFL investigation into the rape and allegations of sexual violence against him in a lawsuit by his former personal trainer.

Thursday was the second time in the last two months that Brown apparently quit professional football just to come back. He stated earlier that he had finished the NFL after Patriots cut him off in September, but had since resumed training hoping to be signed by another team.

Brown & # 39; s last turn began Thursday morning with the first of his back and forth tweets.

& # 39; Imagine that you conform to a system and give it 100 percent to see that they treat me like that is unfair (sic)! & # 39; He wrote. # Earn money with my sweat and blood F *** the @nfl I will never play in those s *** treating black people worse (sic)! Empty my name and go all by yourself (sic). & # 39;

That tweet has since been removed and replaced by a clearer, more carefully formulated statement.

& # 39; I am now very frustrated with the false accusations and defamation in my name & he said. & # 39; I love football and I miss it. I just want to play and I'm very emotional about that. I am determined to return to the NFL as soon as possible. & # 39;
