Nicole Kidman’s sister Antonia Kidman has provided insight into how she lives her own life during lockdown.

It has not been easy for the journalist turned lawyer, who is currently missing her two oldest children, Lucia and Hamish, and was unable to celebrate her big 50th birthday last year.

In an interview with The Daily TelegraphKidman says she has turned to simple hobbies like gardening and painting to keep her occupied.

‘I am busy with gardening and household chores. There is always so much to do. The kids ride their bikes all the time and have also started exploring and creating things again, at home or in the area,” she said.

The mother of six says she has found comfort in being with her younger children and homeschooling them, but admits she misses her older children.

‘I speak to Lucia on the phone almost every other day. I speak to Hamish every week. They both work and live with some college friends, so they have social contact at home.’

“It’s hard not to see them because they miss their birthdays – James turned 18 and it was a bit of a breeze,” the 51-year-old added.

Kidman confessed that like many others across the country, she has found shutting down quite difficult — equating it with a “suffocating feeling.”

However, she explained that she is now “accepting” it because there was “no certainty about when it will be ready.”

When asked what she’s doing to maintain a positive outlook during the lockdown, Kidman says she pretends her family “lived on a farm or in a remote place where it’s normal not to see people.”
