Police are searching for a man who has been carving swastikas on Queens sidewalks, police said Thursday.
The fanatic has attacked six separate times over the past week in Forest Hills and Rego Park.
In the first incident, the brazen vandal approached the NYPD 112th Precinct precinct on Austin St. near Yellowstone Blvd. in Forest Hills on Saturday and carved two swastikas into the sidewalk around 3 p.m., he said. police.
He waited until Monday to do the same on the concrete outside Stephen A. Halsey Junior High School 157, located on 102nd St. near 63rd Drive, around 9:20 p.m. Monday in the same neighborhood.
Less than an hour later, he carved another of the hateful Nazi symbols outside a residential building on Queens Blvd. near 72nd Dr. around 10:05 p.m., police said.
He struck three more times Tuesday and Wednesday, including outside Forest Hills’ Reform Temple on 112th St. near 71st Road.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.
Police are still searching for the man responsible and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
