A homeless man dressed in women’s clothing intentionally crashed his car into the side of a county jail in Florida on Monday night, before reportedly embarking on a rant about Donald Trump.
Joseph Leedy, 40, is charged with four counts of aggravated assault on an officer and one count of criminal mischief resulting in more than $1,000 in damage as a result, as a series of photos show the damage he caused.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect driving from the Martin County Jail parking lot, up the hallway and through the glass doors of the lobby. He stopped him a series of steel security doors further in.
No one was in the lobby at the time of the accident, and Leedy was arrested after getting out of the car in a blouse and no pants to pour motor oil on the jail floor, saying he wanted to set it on fire. He also harshly criticized the former president, WPTV reported.
Expressing his desire to “kill everyone,” he also threw rubber snakes onto the floor of the facility and fought with officers and fire rescue personnel, officials said. The accident, which police say will prove costly, is currently under investigation.

Joseph Leedy, 40, is charged with four counts of aggravated assault on an officer and one count of criminal mischief resulting in more than $1,000 in damage as a result.
“Forty-year-old Joseph Leedy, the driver of the vehicle that crashed into the lobby doors of the Martin County Jail…was charged with four counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief over $1,000,” police said. .
“After passing through the doors, Leedy exited the vehicle wearing a women’s blouse and no pants, and poured motor oil on the lobby floor, saying he wanted to set it on fire.
‘He continued to make homicidal statements about police officers and expressed his desire to ‘kill everyone’ while throwing rubber snakes on the ground and fighting with officers and fire personnel.
“Although he managed to reach the lobby area causing thousands of dollars in damage, he was unable to breach the steel doors,” the statement continued.
“Fortunately there was no one in the lobby at the time of the accident.”
Martin County deputies continued to describe how they restrained Leedy and then took him to a hospital, where he remained uncooperative.
He was taken back to the same jail, where he was booked and charged, the county sheriff’s office said.
Officers also included photos of the snakes the suspect threw, of him being beaten in a hospital gown and of the car that crashed into the front of the jail.

They show a Toyota in the middle of the jail, with the doors ripped off, along with a pink backpack confiscated from the suspect adorned with a sticker that says “Girl Power.” Engine oil intended to burn the 696-bed maximum security facility can also be seen.

Meanwhile, the Martin County court system has yet to make Leedy’s case available in public records, as the sheriff’s office said the defendant (caused) thousands of dollars in damages.

Deputy Chief John Budensiek added that Leedy also spoke of his hatred of former President Donald Trump. They subdued him with Tasers, other officers added.

They added that Leedy is originally from Illinois, but currently lives in Key Largo, a three-hour drive away.
The sheriff’s office identified the defendant as a “homeless man” who “said he came here to kill police.”
The charges currently filed against the transvestite indicate that the agents did not take the threat as seriously, due to the absence of any connection with the attempted murder.
Meanwhile, the Martin County court system has yet to make Leedy’s case available in public records, as the sheriff’s office said the defendant made it as far as the lobby area, where he (caused) thousands of dollars in damages.
In a police report, the officer wrote how Leedy was told to move away from the vehicle, to which he responded “with a blank stare.”
The accident, which police say will prove costly, is currently under investigation.
“He then grabbed a black container that appeared to be oil from the trunk of his vehicle,” police wrote, adding that smoke was coming from the front of his vehicle.
The report also revealed that Leedy was subdued after being Tasered and fell from the vehicle into the bushes outside the jail.
‘Mister. Leedy uttered, “The devil made me do it, why didn’t you shoot me and fuck me in the ass? I came here to kill the police,” wrote Officer Brycen Vanatwerp.
Deputy Chief John Budensiek added that Leedy also spoke of his hatred of former President Donald Trump.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said there is no video footage of the incident available at this time.
No injuries were reported.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that a case had been filed against the defendant. A hearing date has not yet been set.
