Anthony Joshua has revealed how his next fight could take place on September 20 or 21 at Wembley Stadium in London.

AJ also talked about who could be in the opposite corner as he last entered the ring to face Francis Ngannou on March 8.

AJ, who knocked out Ngannou in two rounds of their fight in Saudi Arabia, said his next opponent will depend on the June 1 card in Riyadh.

On the June 1 card, Deontay Wilder will face Zhilei Zhang and Filip Hrgovic will face Daniel Dubois as part of the Matchroom vs Queensberry 5v5 event.

Joshua has revealed how he will face the winner of either fight and that the deciding factor on who he will fight will depend on their performance.

AJ has said that he and His Excellency Turki Alalshikh are looking to put on the “most entertaining” fights for fans.

Therefore, AJ, who forced a stoppage against Otto Wallin on the Doomsday card in December 2023, will face whoever has the better performance on June 1.

speaking to talkSPORT, Joshua said: ‘Every time they tell me there’s a date, you know I’ll be 100 percent ready. It will be in London, at Wembley Stadium.

‘This is what they are telling me. If that’s what they say, they usually stand by their word, so let’s go with it. Wembley, September 20 or 21.

When asked who he and His Excellency were targeting as their next opponent, Joshua said: “On June 1st in Saudi Arabia they will have the 5v5 card.”

The British heavyweight superstar added: “You’ve got Filip Hrgovic against Daniel Dubois, and you’ve got Zhilei Zhang against Deontay Wilder.”

“So, if one of them looks good, the one who looks better, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh told me: ‘I want you to fight (him).’

“What he’s saying is, ‘In the future I want people to look at your record and say you hired the best.'” I said, ‘Now you’re speaking my language.’

‘So out of that group, I think that’s who I’m going to fight, one of those. We are on the same page and he is also on the same page as the fans.

“He’s trying to deliver what the fans want, I know they want that big fight with Tyson Fury and he’s working on it.”

“But Fury has obligations to Oleksandr Usyk, so I have to make sure I stay focused and disciplined, keep crushing my opponents so I can get closer and closer to having the opportunity to face Tyson Fury.”
