Anthony Edwards throws down INCREDIBLE slam dunk over Utah’s John Collins – which left his opponent injured – as fans claim it could be the ‘best ever’

Anthony Edwards’ one-handed dunk in the third quarter against John Collins is considered one of the greatest slams of all time.

Following a Utah Jazz turnover, Edwards passed the ball while dribbling down the court to Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who quickly returned it to Edwards.

Edwards took off toward the rim just beyond the elbow and met Collins in the air. Advantage Edwards who easily pushed Collins to put the ball into the net.

This incredible piece caused an audible gasp from those inside the Delta Center. Edwards dove the ball with such ferocity that he and Collins were injured during the play, with Collins holding his head and Edwards grabbing his hand.

Fans on social media couldn’t believe their eyes either, with some calling it one of the best dunks they’ve ever seen.

“Dunk of my life,” one fan said on X. “I can’t remember a better dunk, but I might be biased.”

“Bro did a complete baptism,” another fan said on social media.

Edwards was the game’s leading scorer with 32 points and led the Timberwolves to a 114-104 victory.

Collins did not return to the game and was checked for a concussion based on his contact with Edwards.

Edwards’ growing profile in the NBA will now include this dunk for years to come, as he has appeared in each of the last two All-Star Games.

“It’s my best dunk of my career, I’m not going to lie,” Edwards said after the game.
