  • A #throwbackthursday photo has stunned the nation
  • People struggled to choose the famous Aussie
  • It turned out to be Prime Minister Anthony Albanese

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese celebrates a milestone in his life as he looks back on his life as a Sydney Housing Commission warrior in the run-up to his 60th birthday.

Mr Albanese reached the milestone on Thursday, sharing a throwback photo of himself from competing in a junior rugby league competition.

“Thanks for all the happy birthday wishes today,” he wrote on Twitter.

‘This #throwbackthursday photo is of my Under 6 St Joseph’s Camperdown team at Moore Park in the Souths Juniors comp.’

Many wondered which young boy in the photo was now the country’s leader, and most struggled to come to the right conclusion.

‘Albo back row far right? Or with the footy in the front row?’ one user wondered.

Another said, “Think you’re one of the blondies?”

‘Happy birthday, Prime Minister. Are you that cute blond boy in the front row?’ guessed a third person.

The photo showed an unrecognizable young Mr. Albanian in the front row with his friends before the competition.

But unlike the others, he didn’t smile at the camera, but sat with his hands in his lap, looking into the distance.

The photo received many likes on Twitter and many users wished Mr. Albanese a happy birthday.

Congratulations Alberto. Great picture! Makes us Labor voters very proud of your achievements. Oh, Go the Rabbitohs,” one user wrote.

Mr. Albanese shares a birthday with Treasurer Jim Chalmers, who turned 45 on Thursday.
